Luuk Smits of Z&PV Nuenen is a sprint specialist who won the Dutch National Championship title in the 50m backstroke at the 2024 NK Sprint in Rotterdam, where he also achieved an overall bronze medal finish. He competes across backstroke, butterfly and freestyle events at national level.
